Effect and Performance

All care product labels feature pictographs for better guidance and a quick understanding of the benefits of the product.

Shine

Frequent use puts a lot of strain on your shoes. Dust, environmental influences and exposure to sunlight can quickly make them lose their shine.

Cleaning

It is important to clean your shoes to remove all dirt, grease and excess polish from the leather. This will help the leather absorb polish, waterproofing and colour refreshing products. A cleaning polish or cleaning foam is ideal for smooth leathers. For suede leathers, it is recommended to use a sponge to remove dust or a cleaning rubber and a crepe brush.

Colour refreshing

After tanning, leather is dyed in a variety of ways. Even best quality leathers that are dyed all the way through may eventually lose some of their colour in worn down or scraped areas. Therefore, it is recommended to use a suitable shoe care colour polish.

Waterproofing

Waterproofing your shoes on a regular basis protects the leather from moisture, dirt and oil as well as dust and stains. The waterproofing substances eventually wear off, which is why it is very important to waterproof frequently and regularly. Waterproofing means making the leather water-repellent (hydrophobic).
